Ocean Dunes

We stayed in unit 1404 and it was fantastic! The owner had the place fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a beach house vacation! Condo was beautifully decorated for Christmas and honestly felt like I was at home or a very close friends house! She gave us wonderful advice on restaurants and things do locally plus condo was very clean. The recreation center was very nice addition with pool and other activities that we all enjoyed!!!

I can't say I was happy with my stay. $2k for an ocean front condo seemed like a good choice until I arrived. The beach is not too crowded, but it is short. There are obvious efforts to reclaim the beach and kudos for this. Rip currents the entire week, but there is a lifeguard. The NC Aquarium is very close by and is a great family outing. The condo has a great deal of deferred maintenance, and the interior and balcony were infested with no-see-ums. We have bites all over us! The oven was at least 30 years old. The mattress is a 6" foam pad on box springs! Maintenance people were hammering outside all week. One person just let himself in while I was in the shower and continued to change the air filter after I said it was not a good time to come in. He didn't identify himself or show identification. I asked him how he got in, and he said he had a code. Oh! There are only two parking passes per condo! I'm sure there are other condos in better repair. I can only tell you what I experienced! I will never rent from this place again.
